Contemporary megawatt-scale data centers have emerged to meet the increasing demand for online cloud services and big analytics. However, in such large-scale centers, servers of different generations are installed gradually year by year, making center heterogeneous computing capability energy efficiency. Furthermore, due processor architectures, complex diverse load dynamic changing, business coupling, other reasons, operators pay great attention hardware power consumption server aggregation Therefore, simulation analysis efficiency characteristics under architectures can help understand make optimal task scheduling strategy. This is very beneficial improving production system entire center. The Escope simulator designed this study simulate quantity (placement strategy) types operating range servers. purpose analyze all provide with proportionality servers, improve utilization, perform reasonable scheduling. Through experiment Escope, it be proved that running at highest point or full cannot algorithm provided select set their corresponding utilization. up a variety strategies, according own needs. also calculate cost savings introducing new center, which provides an essential reference purchase design centers.
